The Power of the Dark Side

I don’t consider myself very good at puzzles but my husband loves them and enjoys when we do them together. We have many Star Wars puzzles and this is one we received for Christmas and just finished two nights ago. Well, he did most of it. Usually I stick around for twenty minutes at the most until I find myself a little bored and frustrated at the remaining pieces that all seem to look the same.

Do you have any Star Wars puzzles? Do you like to do them multiple times or do you use puzzle glue?

Today is the day, folks! The Phantom Menace in 3D is finally playing at a theatre near you and just waiting for you to experience it’s awesomeness! Well, hopefully it’s awesome and not terribly distracting like Avatar was (I love that movie but didn’t like it in 3D). Get your tickets now if you haven’t, some places are already completely sold out for tonight!

Forbidden Love

While browsing various photos on Tumblr I came upon this old Attack of the Clones poster. To this day it is still one of my favorite Star Wars posters and I’m disappointed that I never ended up purchasing it. The way their forbidden love is portrayed in this photo is haunting yet perfectly beautiful.

Was this poster one of your favorites as well? What do you like about it?

Star Wars Vinylmations

I’m not quite sure how I wasn’t aware that Star Wars now has it’s own Vinylmation series (you can see the full list of characters here). My mom surprised me with one and I got the Stormtrooper! Vinylmations are like McDonald’s Happy Meals for adults (even though kids collect them too). The excitement of purchasing one and not knowing which character you’ll end up with is thrilling. Or, I might just be obsessed. Here’s a photo I snapped of myself with my two newest Vinylmations. The other non-Star Wars figure is a character (who happens to be an oyster) from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, one of my favorite movies.

Have you seen these yet? If you’ve purchased some for yourself, which characters did you get?

The Clone Wars: Season 4

Yes, it’s that time already! The Clone Wars Season 4 is returning to Cartoon Network on October 7th! That’s THIS FRIDAY! Don’t forget to record it if you’ll be out and if you don’t have CN (as I now don’t) you can watch it on StarWars.com shortly after it airs.

Disney meets Star Wars

We’ve all seen the infamous Disney faces dressed up as familiar Star Wars characters. I’m not a huge fan of merchandise with these characters on it but I thought these figures were pretty cool. Not that I’d buy them but they were fun to look at and I thought you might like to see! I found them at Disneyland’s California Adventure in the Off the Page shop. Next time you’re there go see them in person!

LEGO SW Character Encyclopedia

I’m not a huge book fan but I love anything LEGO Star Wars!

DK Publishing sends a sneak peek at the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia, due out October 3, 2011. This highly-anticipated tome features the hundreds of LEGO Star Wars figures produced to date, each with its own page listing facts and images. Here’s the publisher’s description:
